WIFE OF FORMER
RESIDENT DIES
Mrs.
Margaret Hortman Benckenstein, 44, wife of a former
Beaumonter, C. H. Benckenstein, died suddenly yesterday
afternoon in Vinton,
La. Funeral
services will be held at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon in the
Vinton home with burial in the family plot in the Goosport
cemetery in Lake Charles,
La. Pallbearers
will be John H. Stanley, P. and Alfred G. Benckenstein, Fred
Tieman, Dr. W. F. Brooks, Dr. R. G. Holcomb, James Ellis and
Harry Lane. Mrs. Benckenstein was a native of New Orleans. Her
husband is manager of the Vinton Petroleum
company.
Surviving relatives are the husband; two sons, Claude and C.
H. Benckenstein, Jr., and her mother, Mrs. Claude Hortman of
New
Orleans.
