Ruth Goos services today

        Funeral services for Ruth Goos, 53, of 2960 Lake St., No. 134, will be at 3 p.m. today, May 3, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.
        The Rev. Charles Dubois, pastor of St. Margaret Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Goos Cemetery.
        Miss Goos died Friday in her home.
        She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles and was a legal secretary. She was the daughter of Walter J. and Rena Materne Goos, members of a pioneer Lake Charles family, and a descendant of Capt. Daniel Goos, the founder of Goosport.
        Survivors include two brothers, Walter and Jerry Goos, both of Lake Charles; three sisters, Mrs. Vivian Hebert of Moss Bluff, Mrs. Larry Lynn Lafargue of Alexandria and Mrs. Billie Sperling of Silsbee, Texas.
        Pallbearers will be Lloyd Jones, Tucker Bertrand, Michael Dees, John McHale, Ralph Roubique, Louis Bufkin and Charles Molbert.
