Service slated for Anderson
Funeral services for Richard Alan Anderson, 66, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, in Hammer Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Benjamin English, rector of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, will officiate. Burial will be in Goos Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday in Methodist Hospital in Houston.
A native of DeRidder, he was a former resident of Lake Charles and had lived in Houston since 1961. He was a World War II veteran, holding the rank of lieutenant commander in the U. S. Navy. He was a partner for the Grand Bury Allen Co. in Houston. He was a former partner of the McCoy & King law firm in Lake Charles. He was past commander of the National One Design Fleet, and past commander of the Southwest Louisiana Naval Reserve Unit. He was also past president of Boys' Village, past secretary of the Lake Charles Little Theatre and past secretary of the Southwest District Fatstock Show.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Katherine W. Anderson of Houston; three sons, William E., John Robbin and Edward Lock Anderson, all of Houston; one daughter, Dr. Mary Anderson of New Orleans; one brother, Dr. Robbin C. Anderson of
Fayetteville, Ark., and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lock Paret Jr., Charles M. Paret, Dudley Faulk, Louis B. Miller, Gray Little, Joseph Tritico, Thomas Raggio and Dr. John A. Digiglia.
If friends wish, they may make a memorial contribution to the Memorial Heart Fund, the family said. |
