P. M. Goos Dies; Rites Are Today
Patrick McCoy Goos, 56, a member of the pioneer Goos family in Lake Charles died at 4 p.m. Tuesday at a local hospital.
A resident of Lake Charles all his life, he was born and educated in Lake Charles, and worked for the Union Sulphur company for 19 years before retiring in 1951.
Funeral services were set for 4 p.m. today at Hixson funeral home with Rev. J. T. Halley of the Dry Prong Baptist church officiating, assisted by Rev. R. D. Copeland of the Moss Bluff Baptist church. Burial will be in the Goos cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Goos; two sons, Pat Goos Jr., and Frankie Gene Goos of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Mrs. George Casey of Lake Charles and Mrs. Donald Veuleman; two brothers, Walter J. Goos and Leno Goos of Lake Charles; three sisters, Mrs. E. M. Koonce and Mrs. Albert Koonce of Moss Bluff, and Mrs. W. A. Conrad of West Lake, and seven grandchildren.
