Elliott services
slated Thursday
Funeral
services for Charles Elliott, 70, of 2735 Country Club Road
and a former member of the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, will
be at 2 p.m. Thursday June 21, from Our Lady Queen of Heaven
Catholic Church.
The Rev. Irving deBlanc will officiate. Burial will be in
Consolata Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral
Home. A rosary
will be said at 7 p.m. today, June 20, in the funeral home
chapel. Mr.
Elliott died at 10:30 p.m. Monday in a Houston
hospital. A
lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Mr. Elliott was a
great-grandson of Capt. Daniel Goos, pioneer settler in
Calcasieu
Parish. Mr.
Elliott served as a member of the parish governing body for 12
years. He was a house moving contractor for 30 years and a
member of the Calcasieu Board of
Realtors.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Katherine Elliott; four sons,
Don, Charles, Bob and Dan Elliott, all of Lake Charles; two
daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Richard of San Antonio, Texas, and
Kathy Nell Elliott of Lake Charles; one brother, Fred Elliott
of Sulphur; two sisters, Mrs. Eugene Vincent of Carlyss and
Anealda Elliott of Lake Charles, 10 grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren. |
