FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN HOUSTON

Funeral services for Mrs. James W. Simpson of Houston, a former resident of Lake Charles, are set for 2 P. M. Wednesday at the Burke-Hammer funeral home.

Mrs. Simpson died at 3 p.m. Sunday in Houston at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Layer. Mrs. Simpson’s late husband was associated for many years with the Bel Lumber company and the family was prominent in Lake Charles.

Burial will be in Goos cemetery.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bruce Layer, and Mrs. Eunice Hahn, and one son, Jack A. Simpson, all of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Walter Weber of Galveston; and several grandchildren.
