Services To Be Held Today for Mr. Fitzenreiter
Funeral services for Charles F. Fitzenreiter, English Bayou area, will be held at 5 o’clock this afternoon at the Hixson funeral home. The Rev. H. A. Gibbs, Lake Charles district Methodist superintendent, will officiate. Burial will be in Goos cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Walter Goos, Andrew Swice, Arthur Hollins, Jr., Herman C. Krause, Edward H. Green, and Gus Stacy, Jr.
Mr. Fitzenreiter, a retired real estate man, had been in ill health for the past few years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Fitzenreiter, three daughters, Mrs. B. M. Woodard and Mrs. Harry Hiern, both of New Orleans, and Miss Clara Fitzenreiter of Lake Charles; three sisters, Mrs. Constance McCain and Mrs. Frank Gallaugher, both of Lake Charles, and Mrs. Hartwell Elliott of Gillis, and two grandchildren.
F. Fitzenreiter Dies in Lake Charles At Age of 77 Years
LAKE CHARLES, La., June 30, (Spl) – Charles Fitzenreiter, 77, retired business man, a resident of Lake Charles for 60 years, died at 10:45 a.m. Monday at his home at Riverside on the Calcasieu river. He had been in ill health for several years.
Mr. Fitzenreiter was born in New Orleans and moved to Lake Charles with his parents as a young man. He was shipping clerk with the J. A. Bel lumber company for many years, and was a real estate dealer more recently. He had virtually retired from business because of ill health.
The body will be at the Hixson funeral home until the funeral hour….
