Katherine Goos’s brother, Daniel Johannes Goos, Jr., married Willie Wardwell Flanders’s sister, Florence Augusta Flanders.

MRS. W. W. FLANDERS

Mrs. Katherine Flanders, widow of the late Wm. W. Flanders, passed away this morning at 9:10 o’clock at her home in Mill street. She had been confined to her bed for some time and took seriously ill late last Wednesday. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. J. A. Bel, and three brothers, Fred, Walter, and Albert Goos, all of Lake Charles.

Mrs. Flanders was a daughter of Daniel and Katherine Goos, pioneer citizens of Calcasieu parish. She was born on March 16, 1860, and lived practically all her life in Southwest Louisiana.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Geo. F. Wharton, Pastor, Church of the Good Shepherd, officiating. Burial will be in the Goos cemetery in Goosport.
