Barbara Goos, 78, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, in a local hospital. She was born in Lake Charles and resided in Moss Bluff. She was a member of the Moss Bluff United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Marvin Allen Goos of Moss Bluff; daughter Donna Faye Goos Graves of Moss Bluff; half-brothers Albert Baggett of Houston and Clyde Morgan and Ray Lynn Morgan, both of Westlake; half-sister, Judy Varner of Lake Providence; granchild Patryce Monette’ Abshire; stepgrandchildren, James A. Graves and Jennifer Wallgren; and two great-grandchildren, Sierra Noeline Abshire and George Abshire III. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick “Bozo” McCoy Goos Jr.; daughter Peggy Darlene Goos; a brother, Melvin Morgan; and a half-brother, Alton Eugene Morgan.

Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. The Rev. Josh Milliron will officiate. Burial will be in Goos Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today, Jan. 20, and from 8 a.m. Friday.
