FRANK GIFFIN

        Funeral services for Frank Wayland Giffin, 72, of LaPorte, Tex., will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, in Goos Cemetery.
        Graveside services will be conducted by the Rev. Ralph Masters, rector of St. Michael Episcopal Church.
        Mr. Giffin, a former resident of Lake Charles, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday in a Clear Lake, Tex., hospital after a lengthy illness.
        Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marie Richards Giffin; one daughter, Mrs. Joy Roberts of Knoxville, Tenn.; three sons, Otis Giffin of Knoxville, V. Gray of Pearland, Tex., and Jack Cosner of New Orleans; one sister, two brothers and nine grandchildren.
        The family has requested that friends make donations to their church or a charity.
