Lake Charles American-Press,
March 15, 1917:
MISS FLOY GOOS
DEAD. ---*--- Funeral Services This Afternoon at The
Flanders Home.
The friends
of the Goos family will learn with regret of the death of Miss
Floy Goos, which occurred this morning at 2 o'clock at the
home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Flanders, on
Mill street. Miss Goos had been in delicate health for a
number of years and her friends knew that her condition was
serious, yet her death is quite a shock to
them. Miss Floy
Goos was the daughter of the late Dan and Floy Goos, and since
the death of her mother a few years ago, she had made her home
with her aunt, Mrs. W. W.
Flanders. Miss
Goos was born in New Orleans in 1875, and has lived in Lake
Charles for a number of years. She is survived by a number of
relatives, most of them residing in Lake
Charles. The
funeral services will be held this afternoon at the residence
of Mr. and Mrs. Flanders, Rev. N. E. Joyner of the Broad
street Methodist Church officiating.
