According to Roberta B. Doty, he
and his wife were buried in Goos Cemetery. There are no marked
graves for
them.

E. JOHN KING DIES IN LAFAYETTE
TODAY; RITES HERE SATURDAY
E. JOHN KING, 65-year-old life long resident of Lake
Charles, died at the Lafayette hospital early Friday,
after a lengthy illness.
He was born
and reared in Lake Charles and for a number of years had
made his residence on the English Bayou road.
He is
survived by his wife and seven sons, E. A. King of Port
Arthur, Lee, James, Charlie, Ray, John and Cepheus King,
all of Lake Charles. Also surviving are four daughters,
Mrs. Margaret Goodman, Mrs. Mattie Doty, Miss Priscilla
King, and Miss Olive King, all of Lake Charles. He is
also survived by 14 grandchildren.
Services will
be held at 3 p.m. Saturday from the home at English
Bayou with the Rev. J. W. Evans of the Pentecostal
church officiating. Burial will be in Goos cemetery with
the Burke funeral home in charge. |
